Education and reflection only, not therapy or a crisis service. In crisis? Call/text 1737 or Lifeline 0800 543 354. Sexual harm: Safe to Talk 0800 044 334 (text 4334). Emergency: 111.

Name the Pattern

Your nervous system isn’t lying to you. It’s just running old intel.

A place to put words to the gap between what you know and what you feel, and understand why it’s there. This won’t fix it. That’s what a good therapist is for. But naming a pattern accurately is its own kind of relief, and that part, this can help with.

Name the pattern

Describe a pattern that keeps repeating, or a moment where your reaction didn’t match the situation. One submission, one reflection. Nothing is remembered afterwards.

The short explainers

Plain-language notes on how these patterns actually work.

Not for crisis. If you’re in danger right now, call 111. For crisis support any time, call or text 1737, or call Lifeline on 0800 543 354. For sexual harm support, 24/7 and free, Safe to Talk: 0800 044 334, text 4334, or webchat at safetotalk.nz. This tool cannot help with active crisis, self-harm, or the details of sexual harm, and it won’t try to.

Finding therapy after sexual harm. ACC’s Sensitive Claims Service can fund counselling for sexual abuse or assault, and it’s free. Safe to Talk can help you start a claim. To find an ACC-registered therapist near you, see findsupport.co.nz or read about the ACC Sensitive Claims Service. For free legal action related to sexual harm, see tika.org.nz.

This tool reflects patterns using Chloe Rigg’s therapeutic frameworks, but it is software, not a clinician. It can get things wrong, it doesn’t know your history, and using it doesn’t create a therapeutic or professional relationship with Chloe or Rigg Counselling. It’s not a diagnosis and not treatment.
